What is Wet Cleaning?
Wet Cleaning is a professional garment cleaning service which uses water and detergents compared to the traditional Dry Cleaning service which uses solvents. Wet cleaning is gentler than standard washing and hand-washing, and can be used on delicate fabrics like wool and silk.
All clothing items with a Dry Cleaning only care label can be treated via Wet Cleaning.
Wet cleaning is suitable for all delicate items that would usually be dry cleaned including suits, evening gowns, cashmere jumpers, silks blouses and even everyday shirts.
How much does Wet Cleaning Cost?
We are continuing to charge per machine load for Wet Cleaning much like we do with our standard service washes. This enables us to only treat your items with your items and not need to label your individual items.
For November only we are offering £5.00 discount per machine load!
1 to 2 items – £20.00 NOW £15.00
3 to 4 items – £25.00 NOW £20.00
5 to 6 items – £30.00 NOW £25.00

Wet Cleaning is an eco friendly version of Dry Cleaning. Many people hear the words Wet Clean and worry that this wont be as careful on their delicates as Dry Cleaning. Rest assured Wet Cleaning is perfectly safe on all items that have a Dry Cleaning care label, with many items today coming with a Wet Cleaning care label. From 3 piece suits to cashmere jumpers we are able to safely clean your items using tailored programs to provide optimal care on your delicate fabrics. Lagoon Advance Care is endorsed by experts and approved by The Woolmark company since 2004.
Wet cleaning uses special detergents that are milder than normal detergents and washing programs that are gentle on your items, leaving your items clean and fresh.
To introduce our new service we are offering 10% off all items dropped off by Friday 11th October. Mention the Mail Chimp Special when dropping off to receive your discount.

Free Collection and Delivery!
We have reviewed our collection and delivery service and are pleased to announce we will now be offering free collection and delivery for regular bookings (Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly Services) within 10 miles of our store. Ad hoc bookings will require a £5.00 collection and delivery fee.

We are on the move!
I am delighted to announce we will soon be collecting the keys to our new premises. There is some work to be done in the new shop before we can move in so do keep an eye on our social media for regular updates on the progress we are making. Our current plan is to close the doors on Challacombe Square on a Friday and transfer to Dinham Walk over a weekend, meaning minimal effects to you all. We will ensure we send out details regarding the date as soon as we have this confirmed.
We will not be moving far and anyone one who is concerned about the new location please feel free to have a chat with a member of staff about your requirements. We do have space to add clients to our collection and delivery rounds.

Professional Wet Cleaning
Along with our move we will soon be ordering our wet cleaning machine and are very much looking forward to being able to provide this service soon. Wet cleaning is a more environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional dry cleaning process, we will be able to provide this to any item requiring dry cleaning. I am unable to provide a time scale as this does depend on the availability of the machines and how quickly we can get the staff trained. We are very much looking forward to sharing more details on this service as soon as we can.
Price Increase From 1st April 2024
You will see a price increase as of 1st April 2024 this is to align with becoming VAT registered soon so we will be keeping our prices as per 2023 with the addition of VAT on all invoices.

We want to start by thanking you all for supporting our business since we opened our retail premises back in May 2021. We have tried our hardest to hold our current prices for as long as we possibly can. Unfortunately due to various increases the business is now facing we are having to increase our prices. We have tried to keep this rise to the minimum we possibly can and will be taking some of the cost liability ourselves. We really do hope you will all understand why this is happening and still continue to support our business.
Our minimum order charge of £10.00 will remain unchanged.

New opening hours – we will now be opening at 09:00 and closing at 15:30. If you are finding this hours difficult and you would like a regular slot out of hours to collect and drop off then please do let us know as we may be able to assist.
New phone number – we now have a landline please use this for a prompter response as our mobile goes out with the team on collections and deliveries so we are unable to answer this on occasions. 01305 796316

New service – We are now able to provide a Washing Only Express Service. This is subject to availability, items being tumble dryer safe and depending on the time and days items are dropped off to us. Items will be ready for collection in 24 – 48 hours from drop off. There is an additional charge for this service putting the per machine price to £15.75

We have managed to secure our energy pricing to hopefully cap additional expenses, but to maintain our professional service and value for money we had to increase our pricing slightly in line with most industries.
Please contact us for a copy of our new pricing which will take effect from Monday 4th July 2022. These will be published on our website shortly. Please also note the implementation of a minimum order value as this allows us to maintain our full separation of clients items when being processed.
Our introductory duvet rate has ended, our new rate will be £15.00 which is still great value for money compared to other local services.
Pink laundry bags
To assist our ambition to reduce plastic waste we our still running our pink bag deposit scheme, for a £10.00 deposit you can utilise one of our bright pink bags to transport your laundry saving us the need to utilise a bio degradable plastic bag. As part of this service we swap out and launder the bags as we would with our shop laundry at no charge to you. Please do let us know if you would like one.

Today we are celebrating our 1st Birthday! A year ago today we opened the doors to our lovely premises in Poundbury! It’s been a great first year and we would like to thank all our customers who have and continue to support us. A big thanks needs to go to our laundry team as without them we wouldn’t be where we are today! Thank You

Easter Closure
With easter just around the corner we wanted to give you notice of our closure. We will be closed from Thursday 14th April and re opening Tuesday 19th April.
For any of our regular clients that this effects we will be in touch closer to the time to make arrangements.

Having reviewed our clients prefered drop off and pick up times we are amending our opening hours to suit. As from today we will be opening every other Thursday (22nd July, 5th Aug, 19th Aug) and then every Thursday from 1st September. We will be closed Saturdays from Saturday 24th July however pre booked appointments can still be made on occasions.
Appointments outside of our shop opening times may be possible subject to availability, these are just our core hours allowing clients to drop off as and when.

With the rules relaxing from 19th July, we have decided to keep many of our additional measures in place. The only exception is regarding face coverings, as per the latest government guidance we recommend clients wear a face covering in store however it is down to the client’s discretion. Our staff will continue to wear face coverings while clients are in store.
